TIPS FOR THE RACE WEEKEND

Check out some useful tips to make sure you enjoy the MotoGP Valencia Grand Prix at the Ricardo Tormo circuit to the max.

  • The first piece of advice is clear: get there early. This is especially true on Sunday during race day. Better than waiting in the queue is to enjoy the atmosphere of the race on the circuit, don't you think? The ideal time to arrive at the circuit is at about 9 am.
  • Plan what you will do and where you want to go. If you're going with friends, bear in mind that, especially on Sundays, the mobile phone network on the circuit is overloaded and phone and data services may not work. Always arrange a rendezvous point where you can meet up if you get lost.
  • Who are you rooting for? In Spain, Honda and Marc Marquez have been the most cheered riders in the last decade, although it's a bit more complicated now. Why? At the end of last season, Marc Marquez left the factory Honda team after many years and headed to the Ducati competition - specifically to the Gresini satellite stable.
  • See what to do around the circuit when you're not watching the action on the track. Find our tips here
  • Don't miss the Rider Fan Parade, the parade of MotoGP riders that takes place every Sunday. During the parade, riders circle the circuit in an open bus, waving to fans and giving interviews.
